about us

Our vision is to proclaim the light of God’s Word to those held in spiritual darkness. To awaken the hope of healing through the power of His name. To encourage and equip His people. To assist the poor, the orphan, and the widow.

Since 1992 Jim and Pam King have worked in nations all over the world, with a specific emphasis on Russian speaking nations and the Middle East. On many occasions doors have opened in extremely sensitive nations.

The mission of Awaking Hope is to follow Christ and His example of bringing hope and healing to people, to awaken hope in the hearts of those whose hope has grown dim, and to extend a helping hand to those less fortunate.

In 1995 the Kings established a humanitarian fund focused on answering the cries of the less fortunate. One result has been establishing House of Joy orphanage in Kahovka, Ukraine. The King’s travels have taken them to places such as Brazil, Cuba, Russia, Siberia, Ukraine, South Korea, China, Israel, Romania, India, North Korea, Turkey and many others.

The focus of Awaking Hope overseas is on training leaders, church planting and development, and humanitarian assistance. Additionally, Jim and Pam are actively committed to an extensive speaking schedule in churches and conferences across the nation. Jim and Pam have hosted scores of teams on overseas trips and Holy Land tours.

Awaking Hope maintains offices in Kiev, Ukraine and Tulsa, OK. Jim and Pam have two adult children, Drew and Natalie, and six beautiful grandchildren.

Serving Communities

In addition to serving children through orphan care, we provide resources to feed the needy in Israel, especially new immigrants. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine in 2022 we have been providing resources of food, shelter, and transportation for many among the 6 million Ukrainians displaced within their own borders.

We have been ministering in Israel for over 20 years and would love to have you join us on one of these life-changing experiences. These tours are complete tours with a Messianic Israeli guide. The tours are usually 10 days in length.
